Mayra Bachrach
Mayra has been active in the Computer Science Education advocacy network in NJ since 2012. She is the past president of the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) of Northern NJ, a former NJ representative to the CSTA Advocacy Leadership Team (CSALT), and a member of the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE) Computer Science Advisory Board. She served as a volunteer on the 2019-2020 revision committee for the recently adopted Computer Science and Design Thinking student learning standards. She worked as a consultant for the NJDOE to draft the New Jersey Strategic Computer Science plan. Mayra received the CSTA National Advocate of the Year award in 2014.  She is
the primary investigator on a Google grant to determine the impact of utilizing strategies from Bilingual/ESL education on the outcomes of Hispanics/LatinX students in AP Computer Science. She has taught computer science to students from grades 8 through 16 since 2001.

Daryl Detrick
Daryl has been a leader of the Computer Science Education advocacy network in New Jersey since 2012. He is the past president and a founding member of the CSTA chapter of Central NJ, a former NJ representative to the CSTA Advocacy Leadership Team (CSALT) and a member of the NJ Department of Education Computer Science Advisory Board that provided input for the New Jersey Strategic Computer Science plan. He received the National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT) NJ Educator Award, the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network (NJSPN) Advocate of the Year award, the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) National Advocate of the Year award and the CSTA National CS Educator Award. Daryl has been a teacher at Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington, NJ for 25 years, teaching computer science for the past 19.
